During an extremely chilly weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park (many competitors dubbed the event "Winter Bay" instead of "Spring Bay", Allie and Majesty laid down their best dressage score to date for a 33.2 after a hectic warm-up in the beginner novice division. They had a minor blip in both their stadium and cross country rounds after productive warm-ups, but they moved on with determination to complete their first sanctioned event!

Due to the questionable weather conditions, we chose not to pop the 3-room tent I normally take to shows and instead removed the divider in the horse trailer and put our sleeping bags down there. Although it ended up being a cozy first night, when Hannah arrived the next day, her mom graciously procured us a hotel room for the second night.
I must say, I LOVE our team! Though Allie was the only competitor, both Jenny and Hannah came down for a bit of a (horse) girls' weekend to cheer her on and help out :)
We completed our 3-day stay in Lexington with a trip to one of my favorite places to eat - Shamrock's - for some spicy wings and (unknown before our arrival) live music. Next stop for this pair is May Daze in May!
