Our Paul Thomas - SHOWING

Our Paul Thomas, or "Tommy", is a 2015 thoroughbred gelding who originated from the same training barn as Vada. He is a 15.3hh, stout guy with a bit of a swayback. He made his way into Ohio after finishing his last race poorly on 11/10/19. Tommy is a bold, but collected, gelding that settled in quickly and nicely. Due to the shape of his back, Tommy didn't receive the normal downtime many OTTBs get immediately following track life. He has been slowly restarted and shows promise and style as a hunter.

He has been schooling up to 2’9” at home and has been gaining exposure at hunter/jumper shows under the name Monaghan Boy with recent successes at his first rated show at the World Equestrian Center in August 2020 (placing 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 4th o/f in the Futures) and at Lakeside Arena.

Tommy is Christina's personal project, and they spent a couple weeks in January 2021 at the new World Equestrian Center in Ocala, where he officially moved up to the baby green division. His next show plans involve WEC Wilmington in April 2021 and potentially stepping back into the eventing ring in May!

Ada's SunshineLady - IN TRAINING

"Vada" is a 2013 15.3hh thoroughbred mare that finished racing in December of 2018 due to her previous owner's heart attack, and was pulled out of work in June of 2019 due to a breathing issue. Vada had an arytenoidectomy on Tuesday, 11/26/19, which she has recovered very well from. She is a sweet and gentle mare and officially started her off-track training as an event prospect in August of 2020.

Vada's training is primarily headed up by Morgan, who keeps her in full work and is in charge of her training schedule (with input from Christina). Morgan also shows Vada when opportunity and training allows, and is working towards eventing her in the spring. She is currently working on her understanding of contact, strength in canter, is jumping 2-2'3, and trail rides often. Vada's spring plans include playing in the jumpers at WEC Wilmington in April before making her eventing debut in May at the new Miami Valley HT in Fairborn, OH.

"Eclipse" is a 5 y/o grade mare that arrived in April 2020. She is the boss mare of the barn, but is also a very sweet and sensitive mare. She was originally quite head-shy, but has learned the value of treats and grooming and has become very friendly!

She was started w/t/c under saddle over the summer in 2020 and came with sensitive brakes pre-installed. Eclipse is currently working on further understanding of contact, consistency and rhythm staying in front of her rider's leg, and building strength at the canter as a young horse. Eclipse is an interesting combination of spooky and brave; she is fantastic on the trails and enjoys having a couple leisurely rides per week as part of her training program.

Eclipse's training is done in part by Ari, who started riding her as a very green horse over the summer. They now are working on intro/training level dressage and may do some showing together come spring. Eclipse has made a couple trips to school at the local Majestic Farm, and she will start her show career there as soon as the competitions move outdoors!

Patrick, aka "Good Timing Man", is a 2016 off-the-track Thoroughbred, FULL brother to our beloved RRP horse, Tommy!

Owned and trained by Bacon, Sanford, and Patrick L. Biancone Racing LLC, Patrick earned over $31,000 throughout his racing career, before retiring this year. We're very excited about this guy's future!

Patrick briefly started his off-track training in December of 2020 before taking a break due to time constraints. Allie hopes to take him to the 2021 Mega Makeover as an individual entry and will head up his training. Ari's sister, Quinn, also helps with his training when her time and school schedule permits.
